Central Park – A Contemporary Ode to Nature
Named after New York City’s iconic green refuge, Central Park is a poetic reinterpretation of nature in wool. Hand-knotted by master artisans near the foothills of the Himalayan mountains along the Pak-Afghan border, this rug reflects centuries-old weaving traditions passed gently from one generation to the next.
Made entirely of pure wool and dyed using natural, vegetable-based pigments, Central Park features a soft ivory field adorned with whimsical, stylized trees, florals, and foliage. The pattern repeats in a rhythmic, soothing cadence—like a forest echoing across seasons—yet remains free from traditional borders, embracing the open and unconfined feel of modern design.
Short cotton fringes, sourced from Pakistan, finish the piece with subtle restraint—appealing to today's minimalist aesthetic. Though the palette may vary, the most beloved version offers an ivory base with tones of charcoal, coral, sage, and dusty blues.
This rug is part of our Contemporary Collection: where craftsmanship meets quiet elegance. Just like its namesake, Central Park invites tranquility, connection, and a gentle sense of escape—right beneath your feet.
