Rug Museums
The art of carpets is one of the oldest art forms in the world. The first carpet dates back to the fifth century BCE, native to the steppes region (China or Iran). Ancient carpets are actually on display at the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg. Today we find carpets exhibited in many museums around the world. Below you will find the names of some museums dedicated to this art on every continent.
