Overview

Overview
This carpet is hand-knotted in a workshop in northern Pakistan near the princely state of Kashmir which stretches between Pakistan and India. The carpet is made with fine wool and has a high knot density which makes it very durable. Using a combination of New Zealand worsted and local Pakistani wool on a cotton base, the Pakistani Bokhara has a very soft and thick pile. Today, these carpets are considered to be some of the finest carpets manufactured in Pakistan.
